In 2021 the NSW Selective School test undergoes a complete makeover. Some of these changes include:
General ability is replaced with a brand-new paper called Thinking Skills, which places more importance on students using their best judgement.
Maths is replaced with Mathematical Reasoning, which fuses language and maths together and brings an additional answer option for each question.
An overhaul of the number of questions and time limits.
This is by far the biggest change to the selective school test layout we have seen in decades.
